My Background

Creativity has always been at the forefront of my professional, academic, and personal growth as I seek to represent the connection between people and places artistically.

I’ve had the opportunity to live and work in five cities (Seattle, Vancouver, London, Sydney, and Denver), each with vibrant urban forms and cultures. I grew up in Seattle, Washington as a dual citizen of the US and Canada. I studied human geography and sociology at the University of British Columbia before earning my graduate degrees in urban planning and design at the University of Colorado Denver.

As an urban planner and designer, visual storytelling is my specialty: honoring history while representing the collective imagination in a shared vision for the community's future.

As I prepared materials for my wedding in 2024, other engaged couples were attracted to my style and hired me to create their wedding stationery. I love being a part of significant celebrations and honoring love and community in all its forms.

In 2025, after completing my education and gaining experience in the field, I decided to launch my own company as a self-employed urban designer and artist. I look forward to collaborating with clients to convey their stories visually.

Philosophy + Approach

Sometimes, what is most needed in a design, whether for a proposed streetscape, a neighborhood plan, or a wedding invitation, is to evoke a feeling. To accurately capture a person or place and share it with the world.

In everything I create, my style aspires to inspire a sense of nostalgia, approachability, and playfulness.

My preferred mediums include watercolor, pencil, and pen. I work physically and digitally on my iPad. For 3D modeling, details, and post-processing, I use SketchUp, Google Earth, and the Adobe Suite.

As an urban designer and artist, my passion for creative expression, watercolor illustration, urban design, cartographic art, public space, and a sense of place converges. I leave a part of myself in each hand-drawn piece, and I hope you can also find a piece of yourself in them.
